Research - Convention analysis on 'I, Robot'

I, Robot Convention Analysis

In order to develop my research further, I looked at various tittle sequences in 'www.artofthetitle.com'. This website contains many different type of tittle sequences which you can choose from and then you can analyse all of the clips and learn about the use of conventions within them. in order to obtain different ideas for my own tittle sequence, I browsed many different tittle sequences and decided to analyse the tittle sequence for 'I, Robot'

As soon as the tittle sequence starts, we can immediately see that the name of the production company is shown first. in this case it would be 'Fox'. After the name of the production company, we can see other companies associated. following that, we can see the name of the film; the font becomes different because of its importance. All the names appear to be floating from bottom to top or from right to left. Maybe because it could suggest that something really mysterious is about to happen or because of the speed of the tittle sequence. furthermore, the names also fade away in a way that it matches what's going  on in the background. For example, when 'I, Robot' comes up, it fades away by turning into bubbles; this effect matches the background. As the tittle sequence continues, we can see that instead of putting the names of the stars or any other, it immediately jumps into the setting of the film. This could've been done in order to excite the viewer with someone's appearance or maybe because this exact tittle sequence does not include all the other information, as its been edited to put on 'art of the tittle' for us to watch only tittle sequences.

What makes this tittle sequence attractive and thrilling, is the fact that throughout the entire clip, we get a mechanical, microscopic, electric and aquatic feeling. Furthermore, the amount of detail put into the graphics and scenery gives us an idea of the different themes the film is about. The colour and and the fluidly graphics builds the tension because it really catches our attention.
