Analysing Tittle Sequences
Looking at different types of Thriller openings and the way they are structured, one thing left to cover is the way tittle sequences are added into the opening. These tittle sequence usually follow a certain order depending on what kind of people they have contributing with the film. Also, the way tittle sequences are added into the openings are usually very different from each other because each tittle sequence has its own original way of presenting itself. For example, the colour, the font and the way its introduced to the audience (transition). On the other hand, the tittle sequences, even though the majority of the audience ever pays attention to them, they are still really important because they give credit to everyone who helped to make the movie, and this allows these people to be recognised.
The usual order that tittle sequences usually follow is:
1. Production company (Ident) 9. Casting (team or supervisor)
2. Production company (Ident) 10. Costume (team or supervisor)
3. Distributor and/or production 11. Music supervisor
(company tittle) 12. Music by...
4. Actor (big star 1) 13. Edited by...
5. Actor (big star 2) 14. Production designer
6. Film tittle 15. Director of photography
7. Actor (minor roles) 16. Executive producer
8. Actor (minor roles) 17. Written by...
18. Director's name
Really minor roles are not usually added in the tittle sequences of the film openings but they are always added at the end of the film, in the credits. Underneath, you can see the introduction of a tittle sequence by 'Marvel'. This is not a fully tittle sequence it is only the production company.
