Soundtrack Editing of Prelim
Here is the final edit of our prelim. We had used Final Cut pro in order to put together various clips which we had recorded. We realised that some clips did not effectively match so had to edit clips in order to ensure that they matched. After adding a title sequence and ensuring that the prelim made sense, we had to add music in using Soundtrack Pro. We browsed through many soundtracks in order to find the ones which worked with our prelim. We had then realised that in order to find the perfect sound we had to re-record it ourselves so set out and reenacted the sound to fit with the clip. The dialogue in the clip was very hard to hear and we had come to an agreement that it would be better to have an instrumental playing in the background which will work to create effect in the prelim. The soundtrack used seems to best match the mood that we are trying to create with our prelim.
We had to use Youtube convertors in order to download instrumentals which worked best with our clip when we couldn't find anything suitable on Soundtrack Pro. There were some issues we also came across whilst adding music, which were sounds not fitting in with the video clip. This meant we had to crop out or lengthen some sounds in order to ensure that it was fitting to the video. Below are screenshots whilst we were working. You can clearly see the programmes we used and the editing of the soundtrack taking place.
