COSTUME
Our first idea for costume was to use an old/tatty hospital gown to help tell the story of our thriller, however as we started filming, we realised some of our ideas were not possible therefore the costume and props had to slightly be altered. We then decided to keep it simple and the main character (Edvardas) is wearing all dark black clothing to help connote thoughts of mystery, danger and suspicion. Also, as it is dark in the scenes, we thought it may create suspense as he would not be recognised easily in the scenes.
PROPS
We chose to keep the use of props quite simple as we felt that the fewer the props there are, the more of a tense atmosphere we will achieve as 'less is usually more'. Here are some of the props we used:
- A candle
- A broken pen
- An old, plain diary
- Paper/trash (This is meant to be spread on top of the table).
And for the car scene:
- Car keys
- A green car
