Which thriller sub-genre inspires you most of all?
Quite a few thriller sub-genres inspire me such as psychological, supernatural and horror thrillers but I'd have to say supernatural/paranormal thrillers inspire me most of all simply because I'm unable to sit and watch one all the way through. I think it's because the idea of the 'unknown' and something spooky just has some kind of effect on people which can sometimes lead to controversial arguments e.g. whether spirits exist or not.
I think this sub-genre could influence my own thriller opening because it's much more interesting and fun to watch with friends/family rather than a psychological thriller as that requires attention to understand the storyline but with a supernatural thriller, it's not as serious and it can also help you bond with others as you're sharing the screams/laughter of it with someone else.
