Film Audiences
First thing to think about when starting to plan a film is what audience will it be for. Audience is the main target as it determines whether the film will be a success or not. If the audience likes it and enjoys watching it they will recommend it to others, and they will recommend it to others, so the film makers will make money. On the other hand if the audience will dislike the film it will just go downhill, no one will watch it, it will be forgotten about in no time and it will make no money for the producers.
Each genre has its own target audience. Thriller's typical target audience is aged 18 and over as it contains a lot of violence or sexual scenes. But each sub-genre of a thriller slightly changes the target audience so there is no exact target audience.
