Research - Intertextuality

Intertextuality

Intertextuality is a reference made between  any form of media. For example when watching a particular scene of a film you might remember another film you've seen with a similar scene because of the common things they share, those things might be music, mise en scene, camera angles or editing.

And easy example would be: Seeing Mickey Mouse in Toy Story

You can spot the image of Mickey Mouse (the top image) on the wall clock hanging on the wall (the bottom image).
